Test for MPhil, PhD teachers in govt schools across Punjab

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) A decision has been taken to conduct test for MPhil, PhD teachers in government schools across Punjab, while highly educated teachers who pass the test will be posted in high and higher secondary schools.

According to Punjab education Department official sources, the decision has been taken to conduct a test for MPhil and PhD teachers in government schools across Punjab.

Highly educated teachers who pass the test will be posted in high and higher secondary schools.

Teachers posted in high schools will get additional allowances along with incentives. Only PST and EST teachers will serve in Primary and middle schools.

Due to outsourcing of primary and middle schools, it has been decided to send teachers to high and higher secondary schools. Despite being highly educated, the experience of the highly educated teachers was not being utilised. The number of MPhil and PhD teachers across Punjab is more than 1800.
