The Karachi administration removes trees that fell during recent rainfall

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The Karachi administration, with the cooperation of local government institutions, has completed the removal of trees that fell during recent rainfall.

Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hasan Naqvi, stated that the Karachi administration is on high alert to manage the current rain situation in the city, said a spokesperson on Thursday.

All Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners are deployed in the field and, in coordination with relevant departments, are actively engaged in restoration efforts to address rain-related damages.

According to the Commissioner's Office, the Commissioner himself is personally supervising post-rain restoration activities.

The Deputy Commissioners have reported to Commissioner Karachi that all fallen trees within their respective districts have been cleared.

The Commissioner has urged citizens that if any fallen tree remains un-removed at any location, they should report it immediately to the Commissioner Karachi's Control Room or via the rescue helpline number 1299.

The Control Room is fully operational, and citizens can contact this number at any time to request assistance or relief services.

Commissioner Karachi has instructed all Deputy Commissioners to remain in the field and closely monitor restoration work in their districts, ensuring that no fallen tree disrupts traffic flow or causes inconvenience to residents.

The Commissioner's Office has also released a list of 51 trees removed from major and prominent thoroughfares include, Hijri Road near Bilal Mosque, Rab Medical Center, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Jaffri Optics, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Ahmed Saya Road, Akhtar Eye Hospital, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Football Ground, Block 7, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shabbir Usmani Road near Disco Bakery, Block 4

City Lawn, Block 13-D, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Near Homeland Apartment, Block 13-C, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Mehran Apartment, Block 16, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Z.A. Nazim Road, Block 17, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Near County Garden, Metroville III Near Metro Park, Metroville III, Khadija Bukhari Park, Block 13-A-1, Al-Quds Mosque, Block 9, Shaheen Super Stores, Block 8, and several other locations.

The coordinated effort reflects the administration's commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring swift recovery following adverse weather conditions.
