Three children from same family die in S Waziristan blast

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) An explosion in Lower South Waziristan claimed the lives of three children from the same family and left two others injured, causing grief and outrage across the area.

According to police report on Thursday, the incident occurred late at night in the Ghwa Khwa area of Wana tehsil when explosive material attached to a motorcycle parked outside a house detonated with a powerful blast.

Police said an unidentified person had parked the motorcycle outside the residence of Saddam Hussain shortly before the explosion. All the victims belonged to the same family.

The children who lost their lives were identified as 15-year-old Shah Hussain, son of Hassan, 7-year-old Sanaya Bibi and 8-year-old Sorin Bibi, both daughters of Saddam Hussain.

The injured children were immediately shifted to Headquarters Hospital Wana, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Police and security forces have cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence while investigations into the incident are underway.

Residents expressed deep sorrow and anger over the tragedy, describing the killing of innocent children as a heartbreaking incident. They demanded that those responsible be brought to justice without delay.
