Three killed,six injured in truck-rickshaw collision

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Three persons were killed while six others suffered injuries in a road traffic accident on Thursday along the road from Grey Wala Chowki to Head Muhammad Wala Toll Plaza, according to Rescue 1122.

The accident occurred when a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle rickshaw from the rear, completely destroying the vehicle.

The rickshaw, carrying labourers, was on it way to Head Muhammad Wala to pick strawberries from agriculture field.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and immediately launched relief operations.

The deceased were identified as Farzana (40), Kiran (14), and Shakeela (30). The injured included Adeela (12), Saeeda Mai (42), Raeesa Bibi (25), Saima (25), Ramzan (20), and an unidentified man aged around 40.

All the victims were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
