Three persons killed, five injured in truck-rickshaw collision

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Three people died and five others were injured in a road traffic accident on Thursday along the road from Grey Wala Chowki to Head Muhammad Wala Toll Plaza, according to Rescue 1122.

The accident occurred when a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle rickshaw from the rear, completely destroying the vehicle.

The rickshaw, carrying labourers, was on it way to Head Muhammad Wala to pick strawberries from agriculture field.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving information and immediately launched relief operations. A total of six emergency vehicles, including five ambulances, participated in the response.

The deceased and injured were provided first aid and shifted to Nishtar Hospital.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
