Traffic police given target of 25 challans per day

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) To ensure implementation of traffic rules in the city, the traffic police have once again been given a challan target, under which the wardens have been ordered to issue 25 challans per day.

SP traffic, Zafar Abbas Naqvi, while informing the DSPs and sector incharges, directed that lifter incharges will also issue 10 challans per day instead of 5.

The SP Traffic further said that the wardens should conduct regular blockades for license checking and challans and license diaries will also be checked on a daily basis.

He warned that departmental action will be taken against negligent wardens and patrolling officers, while DSPs and sector in-charges have been directed to identify officials who are lax.

The SP said that there will be no place in the field for those who do not meet the challan target.
