Trump says all US naval vessels, aircraft and personnel will continue to remain stationed in and around the region until full compliance is ensured
WASHINGTON/JERUSALEM: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 9th, 2026) US President Donald Trump has said that American military forces will remain deployed around Iran until Tehran fully complies with the terms of an agreement, warning of a significantly stronger response in the event of any violations.
The media reports suggested that Trump stated that all US naval vessels, aircraft and personnel will continue to remain stationed in and around the region until full compliance is ensured.
Writing on Truth Social, he cautioned that if hostilities resume, the response would be more forceful than anything seen previously. He reiterated that Iran is expected not to develop nuclear weapons and that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open and secure for commercial shipping.
Trump further added that the US forces remain prepared and on standby while awaiting further developments.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated that Israel remains fully prepared to resume military action against Iran at any time, amid ongoing regional tensions.
In his latest remarks, Netanyahu said Israel has additional objectives that will be pursued either through a negotiated agreement or renewed military operations. He clarified that the ceasefire involving Iran does not extend to Lebanon-based Hezbollah.
He added that the Israeli military remains on high alert and ready to respond immediately to any emerging threat. Netanyahu also emphasized Israel’s continued commitment to dismantling Iran’s enriched uranium program, whether through diplomatic channels or military means.
The Israeli Prime Minister noted that the current ceasefire was reached with Israel’s full cooperation but should be viewed as a temporary phase rather than a conclusion to the conflict.
The analysts believe the statements from both leaders could further escalate tensions in the region and pose challenges to ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.
