Two convicted get death sentences

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Two convicts have been awarded death sentences by the courts in three separate murder cases, while one got life imprisonment.

The convicts were collectively awarded death sentence, life imprisonment, 12 years imprisonment, Rs. 14,74,300.0 as arsh, Rs. 1100,000.0 as compensation, Rs. 1,10,000.0 as surety and Rs. 60,000.0 as fine.

According to the details, the convict Gul Meer was awarded death sentence and Rs.5,00,000.0 compensation. He had shot dead his father-in-law in February 2025 over a domestic dispute in Dhamyal. The convict Huzaifa was also sentenced to death and Rs. 4,00,000.0 compensation in the murder case along with 7 years imprisonment and Rs.

10,000.0 fine for tampering with evidence. He had killed a woman over personal enmity in March 2025 in Naseerabad area.

Convict Yousaf was sentenced to life imprisonment and Rs.2,00,000.0 compensation in a murder case, 5 years imprisonment and Rs. 50,000.0 fine for attempt to murder, and Rs. 14,74,300.0 as arsh with Rs. 1,10,000.0 surety in the injury case. He had killed a citizen and injured four others including a woman over a land dispute in August 2023 in the area of Kalar Syedan.
