Two dacoits arrested, cash, weapons recovered

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Police have arrested two members of an active dacoit gang involved in multiple street crime incidents and recovered cash, mobile phones, motorcycles and weapons from their possession.

According to officials, the suspects, identified as Faisal and Kaleemullah, were involved in robbing citizens at gunpoint in different areas. Police said Faisal was a habitual offender with dozens of cases registered against him in various police stations of Lahore.

Police said, the accused had snatched a purse, valuable AirPods and cash from a woman a day earlier, while they were also involved in snatching a mobile phone in Shah Noor area two days ago and another robbery on 80-Feet Road five days ago.

Police traced and arrested the suspects with the help of CCTV footage. During initial investigation, the accused confessed to multiple incidents in Iqbal Town division.

Two ladies' purses, five expensive mobile phones, two motorcycles, Rs100,000 cash and two pistols with ammunition were recovered from them.

Cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigation is underway.
