Two drug suppliers sentenced to imprisonment, fines

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) A local court has awarded sentences to two drug suppliers in separate cases with collective sentence of two years’ imprisonment along with a total fine of Rs.60,000 to the convicts.

According to the details, a convict, Samiuddin, was sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs.30,000.0. He had been arrested in Taxila in 2025 after recovery of 1.

46 kilogrammes of charas from his possession.

In another case, convict Samiullah was also awarded one year imprisonment and fined Rs.30,000.0. He was also arrested same year from Taxila after 600 grammes of charas were recovered from him.

A police spokesman said that the court awarded the sentences on the basis of solid evidence and effective prosecution of the cases.

He added that Rawalpindi Police were continuing efforts to eliminate the menace of drugs from society.
