ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) Minister of State for Law Barrister Aqeel Malik on Sunday asserted that the PML-N’s track record of governance would translate into major electoral gains, predicting the party would outperform its rivals and emerge victorious in Gilgit-Baltistan and beyond.
While speaking to a local news channel, Aqeel Malik said the PML-N was well-positioned to secure a clear majority in the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections, expressing confidence that voters would support the party on the basis of its performance and development record.
He criticized the governance of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, contrasting it with what he described as the PML-N’s track record of development and delivery.
He said the PML-N had a clear “story of service” to present to the public, while its political opponents lacked both vision and meaningful achievements.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He urged the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to support the PML-N and come out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right to vote.
Referring to infrastructure and national development initiatives, he alleged that the opposition had failed to formulate a coherent long-term policy framework.
He added that despite major projects such as CPEC forming part of national development efforts, rival parties had not demonstrated any sustainable development agenda.
Reiterating his confidence, Aqeel Malik said the PML-N’s governance record would translate into strong public support and an eventual decisive victory in Gilgit-Baltistan.
