LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA),Commercial Banking Circle Lahore continued its crackdown against elements involved in hawala hundi and illegal Currency exchange and arrested two suspects during a raid at McLeod Road Lahore,here on Wednesday.
According to an FIA spokesperson,the arrested suspects were identified as Abdul Rahim and Muhammad Faheem, who were found to be Afghan nationals.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Initial investigations revealed that the accused were allegedly involved in hawala hundi and illegal currency exchange under the cover of an auto spare parts business.
The FIA recovered more than Rs.1 million in Pakistani currency from their possession.
Mobile phones and evidence related to hawala hundi and illegal currency exchange were also seized during the operation.
The spokesperson said the suspects had been taken into custody and further investigation was underway.
