Two industrial units sealed in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2026) The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) sealed two industrial units and imposed a total fine of Rs200,000 during an inspection drive against environmental law violations in the district.

According to EPA sources, District Officer Usama Majid, accompanied by his team, inspected 20 industrial units and a brick kiln to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

During the inspections, violations were found at two industrial units. The EPA sealed both units and imposed a total fine of Rs200,000 under the relevant environmental laws.

The EPA said inspection and enforcement activities would continue to curb environmental pollution and ensure strict implementation of environmental laws. It added that legal action would be taken against violators in accordance with the law.
