Two killed,17 hurt in Bannu blast

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) A time bomb planted on a motorcycle exploded near the main gate of Miryan Police Station in Bannu on Monday, killing two people and injuring 17 others.

According to police, the cowardly terrorist attack resulted in the martyrdom of two innocent civilians, while around 17 people sustained injuries.

The injured were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu, for medical treatment.

Upon receiving information, a heavy contingent of Bannu Police led by SP Rural Haider Ali and SDPO Rural One Khanan Khan reached the site along with the Quick Response Force bomb disposal squad and armored personnel carriers.

The area was cordoned off and a search and clearance operation was launched.

Police said the bomb disposal squad is engaged in clearing the area to ensure timely and effective prevention of any further potential threat.
