WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Two people lost their lives in separate tragic incidents in the twin cities of Taxila and Wah Cantt on Monday, police and rescue officials said.

In the first incident, a 17-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Saqlian Ali, was fatally hit by a speeding dumper on the GT Road underpass within the jurisdiction of Taxila Police Station. According to police, the heavy vehicle was being driven recklessly by an unidentified driver when it struck the motorcycle.

Rescue teams shifted the critically injured teenager to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to trace the dumper driver.

In a separate incident in Khanabad area under Wah Saddar Police Station, a man identified as Abdul Rasheed allegedly took his own life by shooting himself. Police said the deceased had been under mental stress due to domestic issues in recent days. He reportedly locked himself in a room before committing suicide. Authorities have registered separate cases and initiated further investigations into both incidents.
