MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) At least two people were killed and one injured when an oil tanker plunged into a deep ravine and caught fire at Dum Gala in Mansehra here on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122, the accident occurred when oil tanker (E3135) lost control and fell into a gorge, triggering a massive fire. Rescue 1122 fire-fighting and medical teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert.
Rescue and Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) personnel managed to bring the blaze under control through timely and professional efforts and launched rescue operations.
Three people were on board the tanker at the time of the accident. Two of them, identified as Zahirullah and an unidentified person, died on the spot, while the third, Gul Muhammad, sustained injuries.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured person were shifted to Balakot Hospital by rescue teams. Later, they were transferred to King Abdullah Hospital for further legal formalities in the presence of police.
Rescue 1122 officials reiterated that the service remains fully prepared to respond to emergencies at all times.
