Two killed, one injured in fiery crash near Hattar

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) A speeding Fortuner crashed into a truck on the Taxila-Hattar road near Farooqi Check Post on Saturday, bursting into flames and killing two occupants while leaving one person injured, Rescue 1122 officials said.

One victim was identified as 31-year-old Mohsin of Abbottabad, the second victim remains unidentified.

The injured survivor was moved to a Taxila hospital for treatment. Rescue teams spent about 90 minutes cutting through the wreckage with special equipment to free the trapped victims, as the vehicle was fully engulfed in fire.

Authorities shifted the bodies to a morgue and began formalities. Police have opened an investigation into the cause of the accident. Officials urged motorists to observe speed limits on the highway strip, where heavy vehicles and fast-moving traffic often mix.
