Two killed, woman injured in motorcycle collision in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Two people, including a woman, were killed and another woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident near Thatta Thakur on Rajuha Road in Chiniot, rescue officials said on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, the accident occurred due to a collision between two motorcycles. Rescue teams reached the scene immediately after receiving information and initiated emergency response operations.

The deceased were identified as Shamim, wife of Munawar Hussain, aged 40, and Shan Ali, son of Ahmed Ali, aged 16, residents of Chak No. 14. The injured woman, Shagufta, wife of Arshad, aged 32, a resident of Rewa Sadat, sustained serious injuries in the incident.

Rescue officials said the bodies were handed over to police after necessary procedures, while the injured woman was shifted to a nearby hospital after receiving initial medical assistance.
