Two notorious dacoits surrendered to Khairpur police

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) In a significant development, two hardened dacoits, Abdul Jabar alias Jabo and Anis, have surrendered to the Khairpur police, marking a major success in the ongoing Nijaat Mehran operation.

The duo was wanted in over 25 serious cases, including murder, robbery and police encounters and had been evading law enforcement for a long time.

According to the Police on Wednesday, the dacoits surrendered before SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro, acknowledging the futility of their criminal activities and the relentless pursuit by the police. During their surrender, they urged their accomplices to follow suit and lay down their arms, citing the effectiveness of the police operation and the determination of the authorities to restore peace in the area.

The Nijaat Mehran operation, launched by the Sindh government aims to eradicate dacoity and restore law and order in the region.

SSP Soomro stated that the police are committed to protecting citizens and eliminating crime and the operation will continue until the area is free from the menace of dacoits.
