Two suspects injured, arrested in police encounters

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested in injured condition in separate encounters with the policemen of Tando Yousuf and Husri police stations.The police spokesman Inspector Shahid Usman informed here on Saturday that the cops of Tando Yousuf police station spotted some suspects riding on a motorbike and signalled them to stop in Fateh Bagh area.However, he added, the suspects tried to escape by opening fire on the police which fired back on the suspects.He told that one suspect, later identified as Jamshed Dholu Jatoi alias Jamshi, sustained a gunshot during the exchange of fire while his unknown accomplice managed to escape.The police recovered an unlicensed pistol from the possession of Jamshi who was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for the surgery.

Usman apprised that the suspect was already booked in 3 FIRs at Phuleli police station.Another encounter occurred between the cops of Husri police station and some suspected drug peddlers on Baghwah link road near village Noor Muhammad Solangi.

The spokesman claimed that a suspect, later identified as Ahsaan Ali Jatoi who is a resident of Khursheed town in Halanaka area, sustained a gunshot in his leg during the exchange of fire.He said the police succeeded in rounding up the injured but his 2 associates escaped.According to him, an unlicensed pistol was recovered from his possession.

Jatoi was later shifted to the LUH for surgery of his gunshot wound.
