UAF Academic Council recommends new degree programs

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Academic Council University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has arranged its meeting with UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali in the chair and discussed various matters and for new degree programs.

UAF Registrar Dr Asif Kamran presented the agenda while meeting recommended new degree programs and other initiatives.

Dr Zulfiqar directed the House to take all possible steps in order to ensure quality education keeping the challenges of the modern era in view.

He said that UAF has secured the 33rd position in the QS World University Rankings in Agriculture and Forestry and 61st in Veterinary Sciences by subject. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our faculty, researchers and students, and reinforces their standing as a leading institution at both national and international levels, he added.

He said that quality education is the foundation of progress and at UAF academic programs are carefully designed to equip students with not only strong theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, critical thinking and innovation.

He said that UAF continuously updates curricula to align with international standards, ensuring that their graduates are well-prepared to meet global challenges.

He said that research is a cornerstone of their university’s mission. He said that UAF has consistently contributed to impactful research, particularly in the fields of agriculture, food security and sustainable development to benefit society and strengthen the national economy.
