UoG reviews research programmes

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) of the University of Gujrat held its 26th meeting at Hafiz Hayat Campus to review ongoing research programmes and academic activities, official sources said.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq presided over the meeting online and stressed that transparency in the research system and timely completion of theses were the Primary responsibilities of both scholars and supervisors.

Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Faisal Mahmood Mirza represented the vice chancellor on campus and chaired the session, while Deputy Registrar (AS&RB) Sarwat Khursheed assisted in conducting the proceedings.

According to sources, the board reviewed various MPhil and PhD programmes and discussed steps to further improve the quality and scope of research work. The recommendations and agenda of the 25th meeting were also approved.
