He highlighted that while India’s relations with Israel limited its own ability to take similar actions, Pakistan’s efforts in fostering peace and dialogue in the region were noteworthy and

commendable.

According to Kashmir Media Service report on Sunday, Nasir Aslam Wani, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in Srinagar, said Islamabad has done a “great job” during the recent conflict by helping prevent escalation between Iran and the United States.

“First of all, we should have done it because it was a role expected of our country. We were considered a non-aligned country, but now we have been left behind. Our relationship with Israel has become a reason for us not to take this step,” he said.

Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasized the importance of efforts aimed at averting a larger conflict, particularly in the context of West Asia.

He expressed optimism over the initiatives taken to prevent the escalation of tensions, noting that such actions were crucial in maintaining regional peace.

Wani pointed out that it was a positive development that diplomatic efforts were being made to avoid a broader confrontation, highlighting the significance of dialogue in conflict resolution. He further emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that the initiative was vital in safeguarding both nations from the catastrophic consequences of nuclear war.

His comments reflect a strong appreciation for diplomatic efforts that prioritize peace over aggression, underscoring the role of responsible leadership in preventing large-scale conflicts.

According to Wani, such initiatives are not only beneficial for the countries involved but for global security as well.
