WASA directed for monsoon emergency camps at all ponding points within two days

Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director (MD) Saqib Raza has directed WASA officers for immediate establishment of monsoon emergency camps at all ponding points across the city within two days to ensure effective drainage arrangements during the upcoming rainy season

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director (MD) Saqib Raza has directed WASA officers for immediate establishment of monsoon emergency camps at all ponding points across the city within two days to ensure effective drainage arrangements during the upcoming rainy season.

He has instructed that these emergency camps must remain functional round the clock with staff availability and provision of all necessary equipment as per requirements.

He emphasized that ensuring efficient drainage services during the monsoon season is top priority and comprehensive preparations are being finalized to facilitate citizens and prevent urban flooding.

He further said that monsoon emergency camps have already been set up in various areas including Narwala Road, Gulshan Colony and General Hospital Samanabad while a strict two-day deadline has been given for the establishment of camps at all remaining locations.

WASA teams would remain fully alert and ensure prompt response to any emergency situation during rains to provide maximum relief to the public, he added.
