WASA keeps water supply, drainage services fully operational during Eid holidays

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) continued uninterrupted water supply and drainage

services across the city during Eidul Azha holidays as operational staff remained actively

engaged in handling sewerage complaints, managing disposal stations and ensuring smooth

functioning of all field divisions.

WASA spokesman Qadeer Sikandar said here on Thursday that staff of sewerage, water supply,

disposal stations and other operational divisions performed their duties efficiently during Eid

holidays to facilitate citizens and maintain essential civic services without disruption.

He said that Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza personally monitored sewerage-related

complaints on the second day of Eidul Azha and directed the teams concerned to ensure

immediate resolution of public complaints on emergency basis.

He said that complaints received from different localities of the city were addressed promptly

while the MD appreciated performance of field staff for timely action and effective response.

He said that the managing director had directed all operational teams to utilize every available

resource for the quick redressal of complaints and continue strict monitoring of complaint cells,

disposal stations and staff attendance during Eid days.

He also appealed to the people to act responsibly and avoid throwing sacrificial animal offal

into sewerage lines to prevent blockage of the drainage system and urban flooding problems.

He urged the general public to immediately report sewerage blockages or other water-related

issues through WASA helpline 1334 so that timely action could be ensured.

He said that provision of uninterrupted water supply and drainage facilities during Eidul Azha

was top priority of WASA and all complaints registered at the complaint cell were being resolved

without delay.

No negligence or delinquency in addressing public complaints during Eid holidays would be

tolerated, he added.
