ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) The Water and Sanitation Services Company (WASSCA) Abbottabad successfully completed its special Eid-ul-Adha cleanliness and water supply operation, ensuring a clean environment and uninterrupted water services for residents throughout the three-day festival.

According to WASSCA officials, more than 640 tons of sacrificial animal waste were collected and transported to designated dumping sites during the operation.

The timely disposal of offal helped maintain satisfactory sanitation conditions across the city and prevented environmental and health concerns during Eid.

Over 255 sanitation workers remained on duty day and night throughout the three days of Eid. Supported by supervisory staff and operational teams, the sanitation workforce cleared all collection points under a comprehensive monitoring and management plan to ensure smooth and efficient waste disposal.

The operation utilized 28 WASSCA vehicles, 14 rented dumpers, and three excavators, which played a key role in the prompt transportation of waste and the successful execution of cleanliness activities across the district.
