WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) A week-long Punjab Health Mela aimed at providing free medical screening and healthcare services to residents was inaugurated at Wah General Hospital on Thursday by former MPA and Pakistan Muslim League (N) Rawalpindi district President Haji Malik Umar Farooq.
Organisers said patients visiting the health mela would receive screening through modern diagnostic facilities, while treatment and healthcare services would be provided according to the nature of diagnosed illnesses. The initiative is designed to facilitate citizens with accessible and timely medical care under one roof.

He said the purpose of organising such health melas was to extend medical services to people at their doorstep and promote public health awareness.
The week-long programme is expected to benefit a large number of residents by offering free consultations, disease screening and awareness services, organisers added.
