Woman killed, another injured as roof collapses

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) A woman was killed and another sustained injuries when the roof of a house collapsed

due to rain Sahiwal Tehsil on Saturday.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the district control room received an emergency

call that a roof made of traditional straw and a portion of the building had caved in, trapping

two women under the debris.

The rescue teams and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the site to initiate

relief operations.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel recovered 40-year-old Nasreen who had suffered fatal head while

70-year-old Ghulam Sakina received injuries.
