World Environment Day 2026 message calls for collective action to protect nature and combat climate change

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) A global environmental message has been issued on the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday, emphasizing urgent collective action to protect nature and address the growing impacts of climate change.

Hafiz Amir Muhammad Khan, EFO World Leader, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted that World Environment Day was observed annually on June 5 to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. He noted that the 2026 theme, “Inspired by Nature, for Climate, for Our Future,” delivered a strong message about the need to preserve the natural environment.

He stressed that to effectively withstand climate change, it was essential to protect forests, water resources and biodiversity. He called for a unified global commitment toward tree plantation, conservation of forests, protection of wildlife habitats, reduction of pollution, and the integration of sustainable use of natural resources into daily life.

He further stated that a clean environment, safe forests, and protected wildlife were key indicators of a prosperous and sustainable future. The message concluded with a call for collective responsibility and urgent action to safeguard the planet for future generations.
