WSSC launches special cleanliness drive in DI Khan ahead of Eid ul-Fitr

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The Water and Sanitation Services Company DI Khan (WSSC) has launched a special cleanliness drive across the city ahead of Eid ul-Fitr to ensure a clean and healthy environment for residents.

According to official, sanitation teams are actively removing heaps of garbage from various areas, while waste collection from designated collection points and routine cleaning operations are continuing.

Special attention is being given to the cleaning of mosques, Eidgahs and Imambargahs, both inside and outside, to facilitate citizens in performing their religious obligations in a clean environment during the upcoming Eid.

Meanwhile, WSSC staff deployed on Multan Road are engaged in removing accumulated soil from central strips and surrounding areas using blade tractors as part of the city’s beautification efforts.

Chairman WSSC, Naimat Ullah Khan Advocate, while reviewing the ongoing campaign, said that all available resources were being utilized to maintain cleanliness across the city.

He emphasized that providing a clean environment to the public during Eid was a top priority, adding that sanitation teams were working round the clock to ensure effective arrangements.
