Youm-e-Takbeer forged Pakistan’s invincible defence: Rana Mashhood

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan on Thursday paid glowing tribute to Pakistan’s national heroes on the 28th anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer, stating that the historic nuclear tests conducted on 28 May 1998 under the leadership of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif transformed Pakistan into an invincible nuclear power and cemented the country’s sovereignty, strategic strength and national dignity.

In his special message issued on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer 2026, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said the landmark decision to respond decisively to India’s nuclear tests demonstrated extraordinary courage, visionary statesmanship and an unwavering commitment to national defence.

He said the successful nuclear tests not only fortified Pakistan’s security architecture but also elevated the country’s stature and prestige in the comity of nations.

The Chairman PMYP remarked that Pakistan’s nuclear capability established a credible balance of power in South Asia and guaranteed peace through deterrence.

He said Pakistan remains a responsible, peace loving and resilient nuclear state committed to regional stability, strategic equilibrium and national security.

Paying rich tribute to Pakistan’s scientists, engineers and Armed Forces, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said their unparalleled sacrifices, brilliance and dedication rendered the country’s defence impregnable and indomitable.

“The entire nation salutes the architects of Pakistan’s nuclear strength who safeguarded the homeland with unmatched resolve and patriotism,” he added.

He further stated that Youm-e-Takbeer embodies the spirit of national unity, self-reliance and unwavering devotion to sovereignty. He emphasized that Pakistan’s Armed Forces possess complete professional preparedness and formidable capability to counter every form of threat, aggression and hybrid warfare.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan noted that the nature of modern warfare has evolved to include cyber warfare, drone technology and advanced strategic domains, adding that Pakistan remains fully vigilant and prepared to confront emerging security challenges with sophistication and strength.

Reaffirming the nation’s solidarity with its defenders, he said the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Armed Forces for the protection, stability and sovereignty of the country.

“Any misadventure against Pakistan will receive an immediate, effective and forceful response,” he warned.

He concluded by expressing confidence that the green crescent flag would continue to soar with honour, resilience and glory.
