Zafar Iqbal assumes charge as DPWO, vows effective implementation of welfare program

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Zafar Iqbal has assumed charge as District Population Welfare Officer (DPWO) and vowed to make the population welfare program more effective in line with the vision of Punjab government.

Deputy District Population Welfare Officer Madam Tayyaba Azam Khan, along with other officers and staff members, welcomed him on his arrival.

After taking charge, DPWO Zafar Iqbal reaffirmed his commitment to implement the population welfare program in the district in a result-oriented manner.

He said that effective measures would be taken to create awareness among married couples about family planning and population welfare initiatives.

He also held an introductory meeting with departmental staff and apprised them of his priorities, emphasizing improvement in performance and coordinated efforts to achieve desired targets in the district.
