RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Twelve candidates were caught cheating at an examination centre in Attock as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has intensified action against malpractice under a zero-tolerance policy.
According to a spokesman of the education board, the Controller of Exams Tanveer Asghar Awan paid a surprise visit to multiple centres in Attock and detected the cases at Government Girls Higher Secondary school in Kamra officials said.
"All cases were immediately registered and referred to the discipline branch for further action", he said.
The crackdown is being carried out under the directions of Chairman and Commissioner Rawalpindi Board Engineer Aamir Khattak, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and instructions from the provincial education authorities.
The controller said that no leniency would be shown towards the cheating mafia and strict enforcement of the zero-tolerance policy was being ensured.
He said providing a fair, transparent and peaceful examination environment to candidates remains the board’s top priority.
