Abbasi lauds security forces for eliminating 22 militants in Khyber operation

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Friday paid glowing tribute to the security forces for successfully eliminating 22 militants of Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber district.

He praised the bravery, professionalism and unwavering commitment of the armed forces, saying the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication.

The minister also expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of a 10-year-old child who was killed in cowardly firing by terrorists during the incident.

He prayed for the elevation of the young martyr’s ranks and extended condolences to the bereaved family, wishing them patience and strength in this difficult time.

Hanif Abbasi strongly condemned the targeting of innocent children and civilians, calling it a clear sign of the enemy’s cowardice and brutality.

He said Fitna al-Khawarij were enemies of humanity and peace.

The minister said that Pakistan’s security forces were ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property at all costs and remained steadfast in foiling the nefarious designs of hostile elements.

Hanif Abbasi said the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its brave armed forces and remained united for the elimination of terrorism.

He said that anti-state elements would face defeat on every front, while peace and stability remained the government’s top priority.
