AC visits various area to monitor anti-polio campaign

CHICHAWATNI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC) Maham Waheed on Wednesday visited various residential areas and transport terminals to review the performance of field teams engaged in the ongoing polio vaccination campaign .

During the visits, she assessed team attendance, the administration of polio drops to children, accuracy of records, and implementation of the micro-plan, the officials sources said.

Maham directed the teams to ensure door-to-door coverage so that every child up to five years of age receives the vaccine and no child is left out of the immunization drive.

She also inspected teams deployed at transit points, particularly bus and wagon stands, and instructed them to vaccinate all traveling children to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Appealing to parents, the assistant commissioner urged full cooperation with polio teams and emphasized the importance of vaccination, adding that polio was a serious disease that could only be prevented through immunization.

She reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to making Sahiwal district polio-free, stating that all available resources were being utilized to ensure the success of the campaign.
