Allocation of Rs 7.41 bn proposed for development, modernization in PA

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) A development package of Rs 7.41 billion has been proposed for the development

and modernization in Punjab Assembly.

New building for committees, MPA hostel, security upgradation and Parliamentary

Research Institute projects are included. It is proposed to release Rs 7.41 billion

for Punjab Assembly projects in the financial year 2026-27.

It is proposed to allocate Rs 2.52 billion for MPA hostel phase-II project, while

Rs 1.26 billion for modern parking and facility system in MPA hostel.

It is further proposed to release Rs 376 million for renovation and completion

of facilities in the Punjab Assembly.

An allocation of Rs 211 million has been

proposed for the expansion of Assembly Mosque, facilities of the Speaker and

Deputy Speaker houses.

Furthermore, It has also been proposed to allocate Rs 800 million for the construction

of rooms for committees in the financial year 2026-27. For security upgradation,

It has been proposed to allocate Rs 1 billion for security upgradation and 419.9 million

for HVAC system upgradation, safety equipment and others projects in the Punjab

Assembly.

Meanwhile, It is also proposed to release more than Rs 1 billion to establish

the Punjab Institute of Parliamentary Study and Research in the People’s House.
