ANF arrests five suspects, seizes narcotics worth Rs 2.3 million in four operations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted four operations on Thursday in different parts of the country and arrested five suspects, including a woman, and recovered 23.32 kilograMS(kgs) of narcotics worth more than Rs 2.3 million.

According to an ANF spokesman, in an operation near Chenab Toll Plaza in Gujrat, ANF recovered 4.8 kg of hashish from a vehicle and arrested the suspect.

The suspect confessed during initial interrogation to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions.

In an international drug interdiction operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, ANF recovered 83 heroin-filled capsules weighing 527 grams from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Sharjah.

In a separate operation near Tarnol Phatak in Islamabad, ANF seized 9.6 kg of hashish from a truck and apprehended two suspects.

Meanwhile, ANF confiscated 8.4 kg of hashish from a female suspect near a hospital on GT Road in Rawalpindi and arrested the accused.

The spokesman said cases had been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigations were underway.
