Assistant Commissioner reviews Muharram procession arrangements in Lalian

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Lalian Dr. Muhammad Anas Saeed on Tuesday conducted a detailed inspection of preparations for the main Muharram processions in Pilowal Sayedan and Thatti Khuda Yar, reviewing security and public service arrangements to ensure the smooth and peaceful observance of the religious events.

During the visit, Dr. Saeed examined procession routes and assessed security measures, deployment of Rescue 1122 personnel, ambulance availability, and drinking water facilities. He also reviewed the placement of barriers, lighting arrangements, and ablution facilities established along the routes for participants.

The assistant commissioner further inspected the provision of government services and directed officials to maintain a high level of preparedness throughout the commemorations. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all departments to facilitate mourners and ensure public safety.

Speaking with participants and local residents, Dr. Saeed assured them of the administration’s full support during Muharram. He stressed that preserving the sanctity and peaceful atmosphere of the holy month is a collective responsibility and called for cooperation from all segments of society.
