ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The district administration has ordered strict action against hoarding and profiteering, with Additional Deputy Commissioner General Anil Saeed directing officials to intensify price control measures across the district.
Chairing a meeting of District Price Control Magistrates at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday, Saeed said ensuring public relief in line with Punjab government directives remains the administration’s top priority. He issued clear instructions for indiscriminate action against violators, warning that no negligence or leniency would be tolerated.
He directed magistrates to maintain an active presence in markets, conduct daily inspections, and ensure the availability of essential commodities at officially notified prices. He also stressed the importance of submitting regular performance reports to strengthen monitoring and accountability.
Reaffirming a zero-tolerance policy, the ADCG said strict legal action would be taken against those involved in hoarding and overpricing. Assistant Commissioners and Price Control Magistrates briefed the meeting on ongoing enforcement efforts in their respective areas.
