Book on AI-era risk management launched at Punjab Arts Council

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) A book titled “Risk Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was launched at Punjab Arts Council, highlighting evolving risk trends in the era of artificial intelligence.

The launch ceremony, held at the council’s Adabi Baithak, was attended by experts in computer technology, academia, media professionals and individuals from various walks of life.

Author Suleman Mushtaq Qureshi, introducing his book, said it underscored emerging risks in the modern digital age and the need for effective mitigation strategies. He stressed that proactive risk intelligence, continuous monitoring and strong leadership were essential to navigate the complexities of artificial intelligence.

Speakers emphasised that institutions and leadership must move beyond traditional risk management approaches and adopt intelligent and adaptive systems to effectively counter emerging cyber threats and technological challenges.

Chief guest, Ammar Jaffery elaborated on the growing impact of artificial intelligence and associated risks, stressing the need to strengthen cyber security and risk management frameworks at the national level.

Participants from different sectors also shared views on cyber security, governance and modern technological developments.

Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor thanked the guests and said the event marked an important step towards promoting awareness and meaningful dialogue on AI-related risk management in Pakistan.
