SALU marks first anniversary of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ with patriotic event

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) The Department of Pakistan Studies at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur organized a celebratory program on Saturday to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. Held on the directives of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, the event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty, students and staff.

The program began with recitation from the Holy Quran and the national anthem. Faculty member Wali Muhammad delivered the welcome address, stressing unity, patriotism, and national integrity.

Student Sawara Shaheen recalled the historical events of Marka-e-Haq and paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces.

Faculty member Raza Shahani termed Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos a success and highlighted the need for youth unity during national challenges.

Keynote speaker Dr. Inayatullah Bhatti, Chairman of the Department of Pakistan Studies, described Marka-e-Haq as a symbol of the nation’s courage under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He said national unity during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos was key to its success.

The event concluded with a rally in which students and staff expressed solidarity with the armed forces. Prof. Dr. Mujeeb Rehman Abro, Chairman of the Department of Media and Communication Studies, along with other faculty and students, attended the program.
