Children’s quarrel escalates into clash, three injured

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Three people were seriously injured after a dispute among children escalated into a violent clash between two groups of shopkeepers, rescuers said on Thursday.

According to initial investigations, children from Chak No 12-AH in the district first exchanged harsh words, which later turned into a physical altercation. The situation worsened when one of the children informed his father, drawing more people from both sides into the dispute.

Police said the individuals involved were running grocery (karyana) shops in the area and attacked each other with knives, leaving Tanveer, 40, Manwar, 27, and Tasawar, 25, severely injured.

Officials said the locality briefly turned into a battleground due to the intense fighting.

Police registered FIRs against members of both groups based on eyewitness statements. Authorities added that interrogations are underway and arrests are expected after completion of the investigation.
