CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Traffic Police in Chiniot have stepped up efforts to promote road safety through a public awareness campaign led by the Traffic Police education Unit under the supervision of DSP Traffic Khurram Shahzad.

As part of the initiative, In-charge Traffic Education Unit Sub-Inspector Ali Raza conducted interactive sessions with schoolchildren, educating them on essential traffic rules and safe road practices. Students were instructed to strictly follow traffic signals, use zebra crossings, and observe lane and line discipline while on the roads.

The campaign also featured an awareness walk organized by the unit, during which pamphlets highlighting key safety guidelines were distributed among citizens to reinforce the importance of responsible road behavior.

District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif said the department is taking practical steps to ensure safer travel for the public. He emphasized that strict adherence to traffic rules can significantly reduce accidents, urging citizens to obtain valid driving licenses and cautioning parents against allowing underage children to drive.
