QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti visited the homes of the victims of the Chaman Phatak tragedy immediately after offering Eid-ul-Adha prayers and met the affected families and expressed heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with them.

Provincial ministers, elected public representatives and high officials were also present with the Chief Minister on this occasion.

Talking to the victims, the Chief Minister Balochistan said that the government and the people of Balochistan stand with the affected families in this hour of grief and they would not be left alone under any circumstances.

He said that the people who were martyred in these tragic incidents of terrorism are the heroes of the entire nation and we are indebted to the sacred blood of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security of the people and the homeland.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti assured the victims of the Chaman Phatak tragedy that their losses would be fully compensated and the government would continue to provide all possible assistance to the affected families.

Talking to media representatives on this occasion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that Balochistan has faced several incidents of terrorism and unrest during the last two decades. After 2002, the situation in the province deteriorated and various tragedies, including the assassination of Justice Nawaz Marri, affected the peace and stability of Balochistan.

He mentioned that however, despite all the circumstances, the people of Balochistan have always shown courage, patience and perseverance.

The CM said that today Pakistan and Balochistan are moving towards development, stability and improvement and Pakistan's role is emerging in a stronger and more effective manner at the global level.

He said that Pakistan is playing a responsible and key role in resolving global affairs, especially the Iran conflict, while the understanding and insight of the political and military leadership has highlighted Pakistan's name at the global level.

He said that in such situations, enemy forces, especially the Indian intelligence agency "RAW" and its proxies, become active to create instability in Pakistan and Balochistan saying however, successful operations against terrorists are ongoing in Balochistan.

The CM stated that 10 to 12 terrorists were killed in the operations of the security forces adding that there has never been blind use of force in Balochistan, where such operations take place, entire areas are evacuated. This has not happened anywhere in Balochistan.

He said that our security forces have full capability and professionalism to deal with terrorists, however, working in intelligence-driven wars and gray zones is a big challenge where it is not easy to distinguish between friend and enemy.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that if the enemy is clear, the operation is relatively easy and the world saw that Pakistan has bitten the teeth of an enemy many times bigger than itself.

He said that after terrorist incidents, some elements launch a systematic propaganda campaign against the state of Pakistan, while some individuals studying abroad at government expense have also been found engaged in efforts to strengthen the anti-state narrative. He said that elements who encourage violence, hatred and chaos by sitting in the ranks of the people are more dangerous than banned organizations because such elements try to mislead the youth.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan reiterated the resolve that the government, the people and the security agencies would continue their struggle together to eliminate terrorism and establish lasting peace in Balochistan.
