Commissioner reviews CS’s directives,orders fast-track of Rs.24bn projects

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Tuesday chaired a follow-up meeting to review progress on directives issued during Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman’s recent visit, stressing strict compliance and expeditious execution of development projects.

According to an official spokesperson, the commissioner directed all departments to accelerate work under the Punjab Development Program and ensure regular monitoring to achieve timely completion of ongoing schemes.

During the briefing, the Managing Director of WASA informed the participants about development projects worth Rs.14 billion currently underway in Sargodha.

He also presented proposed schemes amounting to Rs.10 billion under Phase-II for the upcoming fiscal year.

Meanwhile,the Executive Engineer Highways shared proposals for road construction and rehabilitation to be included in the next fiscal year’s development program.

The commissioner instructed the Municipal Corporation to prepare viable schemes within available resources,seek necessary approvals and initiate prompt execution.

He further directed all departments to formulate new proposals for inclusion in the Annual Development Program.

The meeting,held at the Commissioner’s Office was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Muhammad Hussain Ahmed Raza Cheema,MD WASA,Additional Commissioner (Coordination),SE Highways and other officials, while the Deputy Commissioner Khushab participated via video link.
