Crackdown launched on unregistered medical stores, quack clinics

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) District administration of Tank has launched a crackdown against unregistered medical stores and quack clinics to ensure safe and quality medicines for people.

In this regard, Additional Assistant Commissioner Malik Fahim Akhtar paid a visit to bazaar and inspected several shops and clinics.

He also issued warnings to those violating regulations.

Authorities directed medical store owners to clearly display their licenses and all required documentation at their establishments.

They were also instructed to immediately dispose of expired medicines and strictly avoid the sale of prohibited drugs.

He said that any restricted medication must only be sold against a valid prescription issued by an authorized doctor.

Furthermore, medical stores were directed to maintain a complete and detailed record of all pharmaceutical transactions in a register to ensure transparency and proper monitoring.

He vowed to continue actions against illegal medical practices in the future to ensure the public receives safe and quality healthcare services.
