Crackdown on quacks, unregistered clinic sealed in Murree

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The District Health Authority Murree has sealed an unregistered clinic during a crackdown against quacks and fake practitioners.

According to details, a health team conducted an inspection and found an illegal medical facility operating under the name Munir Clinic. Officials said the clinic was unregistered and involved in serious violations of health regulations, with patients being treated through unqualified practices, posing risks to human life.

The clinic was sealed on the spot and further legal proceedings have been initiated.

A spokesperson for the District Health Authority said no one would be allowed to endanger public lives through illegal medical practices.

The deputy commissioner directed authorities to continue indiscriminate action against illegal clinics across the district, stressing that negligence in the health sector would not be tolerated.

Health officials also urged the public to seek treatment only from registered practitioners and report any suspicious or illegal clinics to the relevant authorities for timely action.

Officials said that similar crackdowns would continue in different areas of Murree in the coming days to eliminate quackery.
