CTO reviews traffic flow on model roads,orders strict enforcement of laws

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore,Syed Abdul Raheem Sherazi on Monday held a meeting with circle officers and sector in-charges and directed them to ensure strict road discipline across the city.

During the meeting, the CTO emphasized that no leniency would be shown towards traffic violations,adding that ensuring public safety and preventing accidents remained top priorities of the department.

Later,the CTO visited key arteries of the city,including Mall Road,Jail Road,Ferozepur Road and Canal Road,where he reviewed traffic flow and enforcement measures.

Circle officers and sector in-charges briefed him on ongoing enforcement activities.

The CTO directed officers to strictly enforce lane line discipline and take firm action against one-way violations,zigzag driving and signal breaches with no exceptions.

He further instructed officials to maintain courteous behavior with citizens while ensuring strict implementation of traffic laws for all.

Abdul Raheem Sherazi also ordered enhanced monitoring of violations through Safe City cameras and directed that vehicles involved in zigzag and dangerous driving be impounded at police stations to instill a sense of responsibility among drivers.
