LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Punjab Police Rahim Yar Khan, in a joint operation with security agencies, achieved a major breakthrough as notorious dacoit Zahoor alias Gudda Kosh, carrying a head money of Rs10 million, surrendered along with an accomplice.

A Punjab Police spokesperson said that the government of Punjab had fixed a bounty of Rs10 million on the head of the dangerous Kosh gang member. Continuous operations, pressure, and strategic coordination by law enforcement agencies compelled the accused to lay down arms and surrender.

District Police Officer (DPO) Rahim Yar Khan Irfan Ali Samo said that full-scale and uninterrupted operations against criminal elements in the riverine (Katcha) areas were ongoing.

He added that the surrendered accused would face legal proceedings, and operations would continue until the arrest or surrender of the last dacoit in the area.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem commended Rahim Yar Khan Police for the surrender and directed that operations against Katcha criminals be further intensified. He reaffirmed that indiscriminate action against criminal elements would continue and that protection of public life and property would be ensured at all costs.
