GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi inaugurated a Ladies Lounge at the District Police Officer (DPO) office on the invitation of DPO Rana Umar Farooq.
She appreciated the initiative and said the facility would provide a safe and respectful environment for women police officers, widows of martyrs and other female visitors.
She also met women police officers and praised efforts to improve their working conditions and welfare. Officials said the lounge has a modern sitting area, a prayer space and other basic facilities.
Later, the deputy commissioner, along with the DPO, visited the Safe City Authority Gujrat control room and reviewed the security and monitoring system.
